On today’s short episode, I look back at Hallowe’en and forward to next week’s trip to Las Vegas, all while contemplating the excuses – and No Excuses – for not having a full episode published this week. But! a full episode there will be – next Friday – featuring Las Vegas attorney Laura Tucker, sharing her thoughts on food in Vegas and the craft beer scene throughout the Silver State.

I’m really looking forward to meeting Laura live and in person a week this Saturday at Atomic Liquors for Sour Saturday. Other planned stops for our trip include The MINT with Chris Kim of Faces and Aces Las VegasScotch 80 Prime at the Palms to catch up with our friend Chef Daniel Ontiveros, and Jean Georges Steakhouse at Aria to check out the work of Chef Sean Griffin. Also! it will be fantastic to meet Sonja Swanson of the Spicy Eyes Podcast, and here’s hoping that her co-host Kristy Totten just might be back in Vegas for the weekend from her new hometown of San Diego. Rest assured, a full Vegas trip report will be coming up soon on Cheftimony.

Rounding out today’s short episode, I look forward to reading my first copy of a new anonymously-published ‘zine on the kitchen scene in Vancouver and to an interview with the proprietors of a small business for their thoughts on starting a business and on the licensing requirements in the City of Vancouver. I also go on about an incredible meal I had this past Tuesday evening, when friends took us to the truly marvelous St. Lawrence Restaurant in Vancouver.
