Cheftimony Episode 022 – Podcasters x 3
Today’s show is my first podcast as a married man! I take a few moments in the introduction to comment on Saturday’s nuptial events, including fantastic culinary contributions from Emelle’s Catering, Curious Oyster, Persephone Brewing, Bricker’s Cider, and the Okanagan wineries Blue Mountain and Lock & Worth. The Sunshine Coast of British Columbia decidedly did not live up to its name on the afternoon of the wedding, but provided us with a truly incredible west-coast-wild backdrop for our ceremony. It could not have been better.
After my wedding reminiscences, it’s on with the show! Joining me today are two friends I feel as though I’ve known much longer than I have, and that’s because I’ve been listening to their podcasts for quite some time. First up is Julian Romero of the Vegas Confessions Podcast. Julian is a Vegas enthusiast, a committed gambler and… a chef! Julian and I had a wonderful talk about the culinary business and about some favourite spots in Las Vegas – both restaurants and casinos.
After my talk with Julian, I connect with Chris Kim of the Faces and Aces Las Vegas podcast. I’ve “known” Chris for years through his podcast and love the concept of his show, having people share their Vegas stories and then traveling to the city to conduct interviews to pair with those stories. In addition to being a great storyteller, Chris is a food fan who knows both big-name places and hidden gems in Las Vegas.
Join the three of us now! It’s a trio of podcasters, sharing their joy of food, friendship, and of course, Las Vegas.
