Cheftimony Snack: I’m on a Podcast!

I’m delighted to report that I’ve made an appearance on a genuine Las Vegas podcast!

My friend Chef Julian Romero (you heard from him last week on Episode 022 of Cheftimony) very kindly shared both our talk and my interview with Chris of Faces and Aces Las Vegas on Julian’s own show Vegas Confessions. Both Confessions and Faces and Aces are great podcasts, and if you’re a fan of Las Vegas like I am, I highly recommend that you give them a listen.

On today’s short snack episode, I look ahead to two upcoming episodes, one that will be all about wine, featuring talks with Kelcie Jones, Wine Director at Vancouver’s Chamber Restaurant and with Bruno De Vita, QC, a colleague from the world of law who’s also an accomplished home cook and a great source of knowledge on wine. I’ll share both those interviews with you next week.

Looking further ahead, I preview my talk with Chef Jesse McCleery of Pilgrimme on Galiano Island. My wife and I recently spent three wonderful days honeymooning on Galiano, and a distinct highlight was our dinner at Pilgrimme. It’s a cozy, comfortable, very welcoming spot on a beautiful island. From his kitchen – and in partnership with growers and foragers on the island – Jesse turns out thoughtful, delicious food. I’ll have a lot more to say about Pilgrimme in an upcoming episode. For now, my advice is simply this: go to Pilgrimme!

Also today, I talk about three of the many wonderful wedding gifts that Baharnaz and I received. I single out these three because each of them has a culinary connection. The matrimonial kitchen is going to be very well provisioned!

So, welcome to Friday – and please join me for this eight-minute snack to ease you into your weekend!
