A Snapshot of Singapore with Chef Willin Low

Singapore’s hospitality industry has been hit hard by the pandemic, and Will laments some long-time restaurants closing their doors.

Joining me today is third-time guest, Chef Willin Low. Will spoke with me on a full episode in Season 2 and also appeared in Episode 034 “Voices” with other chefs from around the world at the beginning of the pandemic. Today, Chef Will brings us a snapshot of the culinary scene in Singapore which was still in its second lockdown when he and I spoke recently.

As is the case everywhere, Singapore’s hospitality industry has been hit hard by the pandemic, and Will laments some long-time restaurants closing their doors. But the pandemic has given rise to acts of kindness too, as you’ll hear. And during these very challenging times, Will decided to re-open – after a hiatus of a decade! – a fantastically-named burger restaurant.

All that plus a new hawker stall recommendation await you on today’s Snapshot. Join us.
